Privacy policy

Last updated 2 September 2026

The short version. We collect what you type into the early-access form so we can reply to you. We don’t run advertising trackers, we don’t set cookies for analytics, and we don’t sell or share your details with anyone for marketing. When we no longer need what you sent us, we delete it.

This policy covers the Recruita website and the early-access form. It does not cover the Recruita product itself: recruiters, candidates and clients taking part in the pilot receive separate data terms as part of onboarding.

Who we are

Recruita is operated by Jonathan Kay, trading as Recruita (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.

Contact: jonathan@userecruita.com

What we collect, and why

The early-access form. If you request early access, we collect what you enter: your name, agency, role, agency size, whether your email runs on Microsoft 365, your description of your work, and your email address. We use this to reply to you, to assess whether your desk is a fit for the pilot, and to contact you about taking part. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you chose to send us.

Emails you send us. If you email us directly, we keep the correspondence for as long as the conversation and any follow-up needs it.

Website analytics. We use Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics tool. It is cookieless and does not collect personal information: it shows us page views and visit counts in aggregate. It does not identify you and does not track you across other sites. Because of this, the site does not show a cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

What we don’t do. No advertising trackers. No selling or renting your details. No adding you to a newsletter you didn’t ask for. If you fill in the form, you get a reply, not a drip campaign.

Where your information goes

Your form submission is delivered to us by email and stored in our mailbox. Three providers process data on our behalf: Netlify hosts the website, Resend delivers your form submission to us by email, and Plausible provides aggregate visitor analytics. Each acts as a processor and is bound by its own data-processing terms. We do not pass your details to anyone else unless the law requires it.

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are covered by the safeguards in their data-processing terms, such as the UK Addendum to standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

If you request early access, we keep your submission while we’re in contact and while the pilot intake it relates to is open. If we don’t end up working together, we delete it within 12 months of our last exchange. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us: what we hold about you (access); to correct it; to delete it; to stop using it; or to give it to you in a portable form. Email jonathan@userecruita.com and we’ll act on it promptly. These requests are handled personally, not by a system.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), though we’d appreciate the chance to sort it out directly first.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be flagged plainly on this page.
